Happisburgh, 2016

Sunday 27 November 2016

Rather belatedly adding a few of my images from 2016. This set of three are from Happisburgh on the Nofolk coast. The rock sea-defences were rebuilt a few years ago to reduce the damage that the waves inflict on the soft cliffs, but the erosion continues to be visible even over the span of a year. The first image shows lights on still in the cliff-top caravan park. The second image, taken in late November, shows waves coming over the rocks as the tide comes in. The third was taken earlier in the year during a storm, with the area between the rocks and the cliffs covered in foam... a damp walk back to the car with my wellies filled to the top.
