Happisburgh dawn

Sunday 1 March 2020

A recent visit back to one of my favourite locations: the old sea defences at Happisburgh. I had been hoping for some dawn colour here, but that didn't work out and so I have left these almost monochrome with very little processing. As the cliffs have eroded and the level of the sand has fallen, some of the posts are now so far out that I'm not sure they are ever fully exposed. Closer to dry land, it is always a challenge getting clean compositions of the posts here given all of the potentials for shapes overlapping one another, and limited opportunities for moving around without getting a soaking.
